Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 11, 2026
This policy explains what personal information Offset Labs collects when you visit tryoffsetlabs.com or buy from us, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what you can ask us to do about it.
Who we are
Offset Labs 55 Village Centre Pl Mississauga, ON L4Z 1V9 Canada
Email: contact@tryoffsetlabs.com
We are the business responsible for the personal information described in this policy.
What we collect
When you place an order: your name, email address, shipping and billing address, phone number if you give us one, and what you ordered. Payment card details go directly to our payment processor — we never see or store your full card number.
When you contact us: your email address and whatever you write to us.
When you sign up for emails: your email address, and your name if you give it.
If you subscribe: your delivery schedule, renewal dates, and the payment method token held by our processor so renewals can be charged. We never see or store your full card number.
Automatically, when you visit: your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, the pages you view, how long you stay, what you click, and the website or advert that sent you here.
We do not ask for, and do not want, information about your health. Please don't include medical details when you email us.
Where it comes from
Directly from you, automatically through cookies and similar technologies when you browse, and from the service providers listed below — for example, our payment processor tells us whether a payment succeeded.
Why we use it
- To take payment, fulfil your order, and get it delivered
- To send order confirmations, shipping updates, and refund notices
- To answer your questions and handle returns
- To send marketing emails, if you've asked us to
- To show you adverts on other platforms and measure whether they worked
- To understand how people use our site so we can improve it
- To detect and prevent fraud and abuse
- To meet our legal and tax obligations
Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies for three things: making the site work (keeping items in your cart, remembering you're logged in), understanding how the site is used, and advertising.
The advertising ones are the ones worth knowing about. We use the Meta pixel and Google's tracking tags. These place cookies on your device and send information about your visit — including pages viewed and purchases made — to Meta and Google, so we can show adverts to people likely to be interested and measure whether those adverts led to sales.
You can refuse or delete cookies through your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work properly if you block the essential ones.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with the service providers that make our business run:
- Shopify — hosts our store and processes orders
- Payment processors — take payment and screen for fraud
- Shipping carriers and fulfilment partners — deliver your order
- Subscription platform — manages recurring orders, renewal dates and cancellations
- Email platform — sends order, renewal and marketing emails
- Meta and Google — advertising and analytics
- Professional advisers — accountants and lawyers, where needed
We also share information when the law requires it, when we need to enforce our terms, or if the business is sold or merged.
We do not sell your personal information for money. Sharing data with advertising platforms may count as a "sale" or as "sharing for targeted advertising" under some US state laws. You can opt out — see below.
Advertising and your choices
To stop your information being used for targeted advertising, you can:
- Email us at contact@tryoffsetlabs.com and ask us to opt you out
- Turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser, which we honour as an opt-out signal
- Adjust your ad settings directly with Meta and Google
- Use the industry opt-out tools at optout.aboutads.info and youradchoices.ca
Opting out doesn't mean fewer adverts. It means less relevant ones.
Marketing emails
We only send marketing emails to people who have asked for them. Every one has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect right away. You'll still get order and shipping emails, because those are part of the purchase.
Where your information is stored
We're a Canadian company using service providers based in Canada and the United States, so your information is stored and processed in both countries and may be accessible to authorities there under their laws. By using our site you understand your information will be handled this way.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires — generally seven years. Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete you. Website analytics data is kept for up to 24 months.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy
- Ask us to correct anything that's wrong
- Ask us to delete your information
- Opt out of targeted advertising
- Not be treated differently for exercising any of these rights
To make a request, email contact@tryoffsetlabs.com. We'll reply within 45 days. We may need to confirm your identity first — usually by asking you to email from the address on your order.
If you're in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, or another state with a consumer privacy law, these rights are yours under that law. We extend the same rights to everyone regardless of where you live.
If you're in Canada and you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Children
Our products are for adults. This site isn't intended for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we'll delete it.
Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and a payment processor that keeps card details away from our systems. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page when our practices change and revise the date at the top. If the changes are significant, we'll tell you by email or with a notice on the site.
